چکیده
Abstract Background Cystic echinococcosis is one of the most severe helminth zoonosis with a drastic impact on human health and livestock industry. Investigating optimal control strategy assessing crucial factors are essential for developing countermeasures to mitigate this disease. Methods Two compartment models were formulated study dynamics cystic transmission, evaluate effectiveness various measures, find strategy. Sensitive analyses conducted by obtaining PRCCs contour plot was used effect key parameters basic reproduction number. Based forward–backward sweep method, numerical simulations employed investigate effects transmission obtain Results The food resources stray dog invalid sheep vaccination rate, which always neglected, significant echinococcosis. Numerical suggest that, implementation can significantly reduce infections. Improving cost education domestic deworming could not decrease Conclusions Our showed that only long-term use measures eliminate Meanwhile, during intervention, dogs disposing should be emphasized ahead minimize cost. Simultaneously reducing other wild intermediate hosts strengthening as well would effective.

Prevention and control of cystic echinococcosis.
Human cystic echinococcosis (hydatid disease) continues to be a substantial cause of morbidity and mortality in many parts of the world. Elimination is difficult to obtain and it is estimated that, using current control options, achieving such a goal will take around 20 years of sustained efforts. Since the introduction of current (and past) hydatid control campaigns, there have been clear tech...

Cystic echinococcosis is a highly endemic parasitic zoonosis that is present in the Southern Cone countries of America. For several decades, various prevention and control programmes have been implemented in different countries and regions, with varying results. In Uruguay, a new control programme was implemented in 2006 that employed new strategies for canine diagnosis and treatment, dog popul...

Echinococcus granulosus exhibits substantial genetic diversity that has important implications for the design and development of vaccines, diagnostic reagents and drugs effective against this parasite. DNA approaches that have been used for accurate identification of these genetic variants are presented here as is a description of their application in molecular epidemiological surveys of cystic...

Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is an important anthropozoonotic parasitic common in Algeria. The predominant life cycle of E. granulosus is a synanthropic cycle with domestic dogs as definitive hosts and livestock animals as intermediate hosts. Slaughter activity represents a potential source for dogs to access infected offal. The aim of the present study was to determine if the contact between dog...
متن کاملCystic echinococcosis in southern Brazil.
Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is very common in the southern part of Rio Grande do Sul State where sheep and cattle raising is the most important economical activity. Prevalence in intermediate hosts is well known due to reports in slaughterhouses while human reports are of discussed value. This is due to underreporting of cases and few epidemiological studies make it difficult to assess the situa...
